Community Service
As part of the monasteries drive to be a socially responsible member of the community some monks cleaned the local drainage system. In the village the local council want to stop plastic being used and the monks cleaned the drains and the area of all waste plastic. More
The gift of shoes
At the monastery we have 22 little monks from the age of 5 to 13, and recently a kind lady donated new shoes and toys to these monks. We would like to thank her for her compassion and thoughtfulness. Work continues on the monastery extension
Work is continuing on the monastery extension and the temple has now been emptied of all statues, texts, and religios items. We have now started knocking down the rear of the temple and will soon attached it to the new building, although this is tricky, so may take some time to complete.' More

Work has started on the extension to the monastery. The tower at the rear of the building will house an extension to the temple, two class rooms, two rooms for visiting lama's, and a room for when His Holiness or visiting high Rinpoches. Work should be finished by early 2010... More
Auspicious Day for Building Works
On Tuesday 23 March 2009 Lho Ontul Rinpoche started the building works at the back of the main temple by knocking down a small wall. Here we are building a tower, which will include classrooms and accommodation for visiting Rinpoche's. The full demolition will start shortly and the plans will be put onto this site soon.. 4th Oddiyana Retreat and Pilgrimage
On the 1st February 2009 Lho Ontul Rinpoche held the 4th Oddiyana Retreat and Pilgrimage in his monastery in Tso Pema. The retreat was attended by over 60 students, with 40 students going on the pilgrimage after the retreat. Click here for more information and pictures
